Empiria connects undergraduate students with professional and cultural opportunities in Greece and Cyprus. The core component of the Empiria experience is an engaging internship at a high-performing organization or business in Greece or Cyprus, with meaningful work and close supervision.
Additionally, we offer mentoring to further develop professional skills. The internship is complemented by cultural immersion activities and events.
We provide constant support, and we help you with all pre-program details and arrangements, including identifying comfortable and pre-screened housing for in-country programs. Find out more on the In-Person Program page.
Before your program begins, Empiria works with your internship supervisor and you to define your internship project work plan and objectives.
We hold regular meetings with your supervisor and you in order to review recent and upcoming work
We currently offer 8-week internships during summer season. The timeframe of the internships is June 1st-July 31st.
If this timeframe and duration is not working for you, please contact us to discuss possible alternatives.
Yes, we do. We are on the ground in-country and available by phone, Zoom, Skype and email in order to help you with all of the details and arrangements of your Empiria experience.
The exchange of ideas and the connection between team members no longer depend on the traditional office setting in order to be meaningful, productive, and successful.
Remote internships can provide an ideal environment for building rapport among team members, while gaining valuable supervision and mentorship.
With a remote internship you obtain real work experience from your chosen setting. It is an efficient and cost-effective manner to develop new skills and explore possible career paths, without the financial burden of travel or a daily commute to the office.
Currently, Empiria internships are unpaid. The purpose of the internship is educational. It provides participants with valuable professional experience and career advancing skills.
